Sister Juanita Albracht, CCVI (born 1933)
Sister Juanita Albracht, CCVI developed an interest in art during her third year of nursing school. She wrote, “I used some of my free time [in 1970] painting. I had not studied art, but liked to dabble a little with oils and acrylics and had painted many altar cloths, etc. in Normandy, inspired and urged on by one of our art teachers, Sister Christine Diehl, who taught at Incarnate Word Academy.”
From 1996 to August 1997, Sister Juanita took a sabbatical for personal development in San Antonio, and served as the Director of the ReBarn Center for Spirituality and the Arts, a spiritual art center run by the CCVI Sisters from 1991 to 2005. She wrote, “I entered into the world of poets, shamans, writers and artists, a real enhancer to spiritual growth… I truly enjoyed my time in that place of peace.”
Sister Juanita left San Antonio to serve as a missionary in Peru in 1997. Sister soon began working as the Director of the Posta Santa Clara, a rural clinic in Chimbote. In 2001, she developed the first Hospice program in Chimbote, Hospicio Santiago Apóstol, and served as its Director until 2015. Sister Juanita spent 18 years in Peru and completely transformed the healthcare system in Chimbote for the better.

Sor Juanita Albracht, CCVI, desarrolló su interés por el arte durante su tercer año en la escuela de enfermería. Ella escribió: «Dediqué parte de mi tiempo libre [en 1970] a pintar. No había estudiado arte, pero me gustaba experimentar un poco con óleos y acrílicos y había pintado muchos manteles de altar, etc. en Normandía, inspirada y animada por una de nuestras profesoras de arte, la hermana Christine Diehl, que enseñaba en la Incarnate Word Academy».
De 1996 a agosto de 1997, la hermana Juanita se tomó un año sabático para su desarrollo personal en San Antonio y trabajó como directora del ReBarn Center for Spirituality and the Arts, un centro de arte espiritual dirigido por las hermanas CCVI de 1991 a 2005. Sister Juanita's Cosmos
Sister Juanita wrote accompanying captions for each of these paintings:
"The Hatchery/Vault consists of thousands of stars being forms, providing a colorful picture. The stars are formed in a cloud of gas and dust in the a nebula of Orion, according to Hubble astronomers who discovered this phenomenon. The Hatchery/Vault is often referred to the ‘Big Bang’ when people speak of the theory of creation.
The Snowflake Cluster Galaxy, known as NGC 2264 is found along the Cone and the Christmas Tree Cluster, approximately 2400 light years from the years from the Earth. It consists of a compact group of stars that appear mutually arranged in a pattern similar to that of a single crystal of snow. The NASA Spitzer telescope shows new stars appear pink with red centers. Astronomers believe the new stars are protostars.
This image, [The Grandeur of God,] according to my understanding, has not yet been given a number or a name by the Astronomic Community. This image was one of many unbelievable and beautiful realities of a cosmic world never before envisioned. New telescopes, such as the Chandra or the James Webb, are providing an opportunity for scientists to explore unknown, outer- space areas or our unknown universe. These discoveries have been on-going since March, 2022. I have personally named this image The Grandeur of God.
The Eye of God is a Helix Nebula found in the Milky Way Galaxy. It is 694.71 light years from the Earth, located in the Aquarius Constellation, according to Hubble space data. This very impressive nebula, the Eye of God Nebula, was discovered and named by Karl Ludwig Harding in 1824."

«El Hatchery/Vault está formado por miles de estrellas en formación, lo que crea una imagen llena de color. Las estrellas se forman en una nube de gas y polvo en la nebulosa de Orión, según los astrónomos del Hubble que descubrieron este fenómeno. El Hatchery/Vault se suele relacionar con el «Big Bang» cuando se habla de la teoría de la creación.
La galaxia del Cúmulo de Copos de Nieve, conocida como NGC 2264, se encuentra junto al Cúmulo del Cono y el Cúmulo del Árbol de Navidad, a unos 2400 años luz de la Tierra.
